Memorial Day 2023

Seeking Therapy and being brave on Memorial Day 2023

Memorial Day 2023

Hello everyone!

As we step into this festive period, I want to take a moment to acknowledge each and every one of you who are part of our ever-growing community. Your presence, stories, and resilience are the heart and soul of this blog.

Days like Memorial Day can be a time of joy and connection, but I know that they can also stir up feelings of sadness, anxiety, or even loneliness. Please remember that these feelings are valid and you’re not alone. It’s okay to not be okay, even during times that are supposed to be happy.

Mental health doesn’t take a holiday break and it’s perfectly fine if you don’t either. Reach out, share your feelings with someone you trust, and seek professional help if needed. There is no shame in taking care of your mental health. The strongest thing you can do is reach out when you need it.

There are wonderful mental health resources available to you, many of which we’ve discussed on this blog, and more are just a click away. You are worthy of feeling better, and there are people who want to help you do just that.

Remember, self-care isn’t just for holidays, it’s for every day. Let’s continue to stand by each other, offering support, understanding, and acceptance. Because that’s what this community is all about.

Wishing you a nice Memorial Day. If you find joy, embrace it, and if you’re feeling low, don’t hesitate to reach out. Remember, you’re not alone, and you are seen, heard, and valued.

Take care,
Alex
